The Vixen...is for ADULTS 😳
“Mi amor…”
“Oh, Christ,” Leo stepped forward, grabbed onto the doorjamb, leaned back, and kicked the door in, raising his weapon as he dropped to a knee. The door swung back and smashed into the wall.
He saw the demoness in the middle of the room, kneeling over one of the Knights. The other was on the floor, his throat ripped open.
There’s no blood.
The striking woman had curly black hair, and wore a skin-tight dress, which accentuated the lines of her sculpted body. Her head slowly rose, and she turned to look at him.
Red glowing eyes filled the room as Leo saw her frightening fangs dripping with blood.
“Olá meu amor,” the woman said, “Will you taste as good as he did?”
She rose from the Knights, slowly moving toward Leo. Their leader couldn’t look away. He slowly began lowering his weapon.
“Who?” he tried to speak.
She smiled, her lips pulling back, revealing more fang.
“Who are you?” Leo dropped his weapon.
“Cammie,” she replied. The door slowly began to shut. “Your one true love…”
The door suddenly slammed, and the moon grew brighter.
Screams filled the night.

“It’s not a battlefield,” Charles groaned as he stood. “It’s a warzone.” He stepped before the boy, grabbing his plate.
“You stop eating when your stomach is full,” Charles said. “A fighter does not do this. A fighter considers all elements and knows he must conserve energy above all other things. This includes the food that is in FRONT of him. The next meal could be elusive. Your plate will be in the refrigerator.”
“Does this mean you’re going to mentor me?” Davis perked up.
“This means you’re still breathing and should count your blessings.”
Davis watched as Charles closed up his book and slid it to the end of the table before walking out.
Father Rodriguez looked at the boy, “He can be temperamental.”

The world had been thrust into an endless night, and things continued to spiral out of control. The Order, a once clandestine group dedicated to the secret safety of mankind, was struggling amid the chaos.
Even with new alliances, Knights like Ivy were threatened by overwhelming challenges. The help of seasoned separatists like Charles might not be enough to keep the Vampyre, Lycanthropes, and other dark creatures from overwhelming their efforts.
Humanity’s battle for survival has begun...

Charles took Amy to the church the following morning. He stopped his car at the entrance as they waited. Amy sat with her hands in her lap. She was hesitating to speak.
Charles broke the silence.
“You’ve been courageous these past two days,” he said. “Really.”
“I don’t know what to make of it all,” Amy turned to look at him, “Thank you.”
“Of course.”
“Can I ask you something?”
“Yeah,” Charles replied.
“The love you lost. Tell me about her.”
Charles sighed, then turned to her, “I was eighteen, still in high school. My girl, Amber…was taken by these creatures. I’m sure Lucius was involved, but there was this one lady, Vampyre, named Lillith. God, she was a monster. I pray you never meet her. They’ve done something with Amber, but I know she’s still alive. That’s why I do what I do. So I can find her.”
Amy gently nodded her head, “I know you will.”
She leaned forward and kissed his cheek.
One of the large doors at the church entrance opened, and Father Rodriguez stood there. Amy grabbed her bag, clenched Charles’ hand, and opened the car door. She let go and got out, shutting the door behind her as she walked toward the priest.
Charles put the transmission into Drive as she looked back.
Amy smiled.
Charles punched the gas and sped away.
