Reading has become a topic of conversation! In the world of media and high volume, suddenly, there are quite a few young people who are struggling to read. It’s not because there’s a lack of enthusiasm! Books and digital print media are flying off the shelves, BUT the younger audience is at a disadvantage.

A significant portion of young people struggle with literacy. In the US, data indicates that approximately 40% of fourth graders are reading below a basic level, and 70% of low-income fourth graders face the same challenge, according to The National Literacy Institute. Additionally, The Policy Circle reports that more than 60% of US public and non-public school students were below grade level in reading in 2019.
